Yoruba socio-political organisation, Afenifere, on Monday, summoned the Yoruba, including progressives governors, deputies, political leaders and former public office holders across the country over the presidential aspiration of All Progressives Congress, Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The group, calling for unity among the Yoruba people ahead of the meeting scheduled for Tuesday, advised them to ensure victory for Tinubu in the 2023 elections.

In a statement by the spokesperson for the socio-political group, Adebayo Fasanmi, he said, the meeting was scheduled to hold November 15, in Ile-Ife, Osun State, to deliberate on Tinubu’s candidature.

He said, “The meeting will be held at the home of former deputy governor of Osun State, Prince Adeleke Adewoyin, with the agenda to promote the candidacy of Tinubu.

“Yoruba sons and daughters must attend the meeting with united minds to promote Tinubu because northerners promoted the emergence of southern presidential candidate.

“We urge progressive leaders- incumbent governors, deputies, ex-political office holders, lawmakers and others to attend the meeting”.
