The ruling All Progressives Congress has infused new programmes and activities into the revised presidential campaign calendar.
The APC Presidential Campaign Council revised campaign timetable showed that a fundraising dinner has now been slated for Sunday, November 27 in Lagos. The Council will also launch its “crowd-sourcing app” on the same day.
According to The Nation, the new calendar also reflected that the party’s presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, is billed to meet with Southwest leaders on November 30.
After which campaigns would move to Bayelsa State on Thursday, December 1, while the candidate will engage the organised labour in a parley in Lagos on Friday with the Lagos rally and Southwest Stakeholders meeting taking place the next day.
Tinubu’s international engagements would now hold from December 4 to 12.
On return from his international engagements, Tinubu and his running mate, Senator Kashim Shettima have been scheduled to hold a rally in Kaduna on December 13 and move to Minna, Niger State the next day.
A town hall meeting is planned for Edo State for Thursday, December 15 while the Abuja Youth rally would hold on December 17.
A rally is slated for December 19 in Port Harcourt and a town hall meeting with some critical stakeholders from South-South is scheduled for Calabar, Cross Rivers State on December 20 with a similar town hall meeting with members of the Creative Arts Industry the next day in Lagos and a musical concert to end the campaign for December 22 in Lagos.
A short yulitide break had been slated from December 23, 2022 to January 3, 2023.
The campaign train is expected to be more engaging in January and February 2023 with rallies across some States and the grand finale is planned for February 15, 2023 in Lagos.
The PCC would use the period between February 16 and 24 for “election planning”.
