Tweeps have taken to the social media to know the Independent National Electoral Commission over its decision to engage the Lagos State Parks Management Committee to distribute electoral materials for the 2023 general elections.

It would be recalled that Lagos State Parks Management Committee is currently being managed by Musiliu Akinsanya (aka MC Oluomo), who is regarded as a prominent member of the All Progressives Congress, and also an ally of the APC presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu.

Recall that MC Oluomo as popularly called led a thousand supporters march for the Bola Tinubu on the 9th of October, 2022.

In a latest development, the INEC Resident Electoral Commissioner in Lagos State, Olusegun Agbaje, announced that it has no option but to engage Lagos State Parks Management Committee to distribute election materials and personnel in the state on election days.

Recall that Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State had outlawed the activities of the National Union of Road Transport Workers and the Road Transport Employers Association of Nigeria in the state and established Park Management Committees to oversee operations.

This development has continued to draw criticisms from members of the public, many of whom are against the move to engage the services of the MC Oluomo led agency.

Below are some reactions culled from Twitter.

@JaypeeGeneral, tweeted, “.@inecnigeria @ineclagos is not hiding their partisanship. From planning to use Tinubu’s MC Oluomo for Lagos logistics to liking a tweet that calls Peter Obi an opportunist. Also, remember how Lagos REC called the Igbos migrants. Obidients, this election is between us and INEC.”

@GRVlagos, tweeted, “INEC told to remove Lagos REC immediately over alleged anti Igbo comments.
Btw this and the idea that Mcoluomo should be in charge of moving inec materials shows clearly that the state rec of INEC is attempting to compromise the Lagos state election.”

@Opebanwo, tweeted, “Sometimes I feel like I am in the Twilight Zone when I see some madness from our leaders. How on earth is INEC using BATs boy Mc Oluomo boys to move election materials? Seriously? @PeterObi people need to be screaming about this. The audacity in this country is mind boggling”.

@novieverest, tweeted, “From using MC Oluomo to transport sensitive materials to liking the criticism of a candidate.

“INEC Nigeria is not neutral.”

@Mindset_tweet, tweeted,”INEC wants to use MC Oluomo’s led parks committee to distribute election materials.

“This must be a JOKE.
