The former Nigerian vice president stated this at the Arise TV Townhall debate held over the weekend.

When asked if, as President, he would use Nigeria’s medical establishments to reduce the use of foreign hospitals.

He said: “We have limitations; we know we have those limitations, health facilities that cater to my health may not be available.”

Also during the town hall meeting, Atiku Abubakar reiterated the need to incentivize the private sector; revolutionalise and ensure massive investment in agriculture which he described as the mainstay of the Nigerian economy.

He also emphasized the importance of ensuring adequate funding for Small and Medium Enterprises , which he described as the country’s second largest employer, in order for SMEs to provide substantial amounts of money for young men and women to access loans to start businesses.
