The wife of the Governor of Ondo State, Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu, has called for the sack of the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission, Prof. Mahmood Yakubu and its team.

The Ondo First Lady alleged that INEc has embarrassed the nation with the way it conducted the 2023 elections.

Anyanwu-Akeredolu aired her opinion on her verified Facebook page on Sunday in the wake of the just-concluded supplementary elections.

She maintained that the INEC boss and his personnel should be dissolved for mishandling the conduct of the elections in Nigeria.

While justifying her right to a social media rant as First Lady, she pointed out that she felt concerned about the situation which she described as ‘colossal failure’ of the electoral body.

She said, “OMG! INEC (Eye-Neck) is a COLOSSAL FAILURE!

“You can take this expression to the bank. It is about time that INEC was disbanded, and Prof. Mahmood and his co-travelers kicked out! They have embarrassed this country enough.

“I say this as a concerned citizen worried about the future of this country.

“Let nobody come and tell me how not even a first lady can express her opinion on social media. You know me, I no send!”
