A Chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress, Abdullahi Yakubu, has stated that the choice of Abdullahi Ganduje as the National Chairman would pave the way for true reconciliation in the party.
According to the News Agency of Nigeria, Yakubu disclosed this in a statement in Abuja while commending the National Executive Council of the APC, for endorsing Ganduje, based on wisdom and foresight.
“The choice of Ganduje, therefore, must have been based on wisdom and foresight.
“The party is greater and bigger than all of us I,, therefore wish to offer my sincere congratulations to the new national chairman.
“To our most amiable President, Bola Tinubu, we can only offer our deep admiration for your unique leadership style. You are seeking to lead an all-inclusive government and party,” he said.
Ganduje who has since been backed by President Bola Tinubu, was on Thursday elected as the APC Chairman during the party’s 12th National Executive Council meeting in Abuja.
The decision of the president which was also supported by the Progressives Governors Forum in the party was ratified during the NEC meeting at the Transcorp Hilton Hotel Abuja, on Thursday, August 4, 2023.
