Disclosing this in a post through its official X handle on Friday, September 8, 2023, the party noted that the Campaign Council will be inaugurated on Saturday, September 16, 2023, at the Landmark Event Centre Owerri, the state capital.

The party had earlier about three days ago, constituted a 255-member of Campaign Council, headed by Governor Bassey Edet Otu of Cross Rivers state.

However, the number of the 255-member earlier constituted had been increased to 582-member on Friday.

Disclosing the changes in the list and the inauguration of the Campaign Council on Friday, APC tweeted: “UPDATED LIST: The Governor of Cross River State, H.E. Bassey Edet Otu heads the Party’s updated 582-member National Campaign Council for the 11th November, Imo Governorship election. The inauguration is held on Saturday, September 16, at the Landmark Event Centre, Owerri, by 11 a.m.”

It would be recalled that the party had earlier on September 2, held a similar inauguration of 195-member in Kogi State, headed by Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun state.
