Daughters of the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (Ret’d), Zahra Buhari-Indimi and Hanan, were present with the All Progressives Congress women campaign team, among other high profile members of the party, who participated at the North West zonal rally in Katsina State.

The media handler of the campaign team made this known in a statement on Thursday.

Some of these high profile members included: the Chairman of the campaign train, Senator Oluremi Tinubu; wife of the APC vice presidential candidate, Hajiya Nana; finance minister, Zainab Ahmed and wife of Kebbi State Governor, Dr. Zainab Shinkafi-Bagudu as well the First Ladies of Katsina, Kano, Kaduna, Jigawa, Zamfara and Lagos states.

Speaking at the People’s Square, venue of the campaign in Katsina, Tinubu’s wife charged the women and youths who trooped out for the rally to vote for the party’s candidates at the poll next year.

According to her, the APC presidential candidate would continue with the legacy of the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (Ret’d.) and bring about the needed change to stir the country to greatness.

In her words, “You are our partners in progress. We need work together to ensure that the needs of Nigerians are prioritised if Tinubu and Shettima are elected.”

The crowd cheered when Buhari’s daughters mounted the podium to address the crowd.

The women campaign team also had national coordinator of the team, Dr. Asabe Bashir and her deputy, Lauretta Onochie, who was recently nominated as chairman of the board of Niger-Delta Development Commission.
