Atiku emerges PDP presidential candidate

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has emerged as the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party after winning the presidential primary.

Premium Politics reported that the party’s presidential primary election was held at MKO Abiola Stadium in Abuja on Saturday.

However, of the 767 delegates that votes in the PDP primary, Atiku emerged claimed a total of 371 votes to emerge the winner.

He defeated the likes of Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike and a former Senate President, Bukola Saraki who polled 237 and 70 votes respectively.
