The command, which stated that Sheu has been placed on wanted list, following an alledged case of murder, grievous hurt, and inciting disturbances of public peace, said a bounty of N1 million has been placed on him, for whoever has a useful information that could lead to his arrest.

Confirming the development on Tuesday March 14, 2023, the state police spokesperson, Ahmed Wakil said, “The police are seeking anyone with valid information that will lead to his arrest for interrogation and arraignment on criminal charges.”

“Anyone with information that could assist in his arrest should please contact 08151849417 or report at any nearest police station.”

Shehu, who was elected to the house of representatives on the platform of the Peoples Redemption Party, defected to the All Progressives Congress in 2022 but picked the senatorial ticket on the platform of the New Nigeria Peoples Party but lost.

However, his warrant of arrest was signed, following an order secured from the Inspector General of Police, Usman Alkali Baba, by the Bauchi Police Command.
