The All Progressives Congress in Bayelsa State has rescheduled its campaign flag-off in the state.
The November 11 gubernatorial election campaign was earlier scheduled for Saturday, October 14, 2023.
The party, in a statement through its Director, Media and Publicity, Bayelsa APC Gubernatorial Campaign Council, Perry Tukuwei, said the postponement was as an aftermath of some exigences from the office of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who would have loved to be present at the event, according to Daily Post.
While regretting the inconveniences the postponement may have caused, the APC said a new date will be communicated to all stakeholders, party faithful and the general public soon.
The party also urged its supporters to remain steadfast and focus on the main drive to take over leadership from the PDP-led government in the State.
The statement said, “In the meantime, the campaign activities continue in Bayelsa Central Senatorial District with Kolokuma/Opokuma LGA on Tuesday and Southern Ijaw Local Government Area will take its turn from Wednesday.”
