Buhari presents 2023 budget to NASS

The president, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), on Friday presented the 2023 Appropriation Bill before a joint session of the National Assembly.

According to The PUNCH, Buhari made his way into the temporary chamber of the House of Representatives at exactly 10:07am

Buhari is due to present the Federal Government’s N19.76 trillion budget to the legislature at 10 a.m.

The premises are heavily staffed with personnel from the military, paramilitary, and safety organizations.

The Nigerian Army, the Nigerian Police Force, the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps, the Department of State Services, the Federal Road Safety Corps, the Federal Fire Service, and sergeants-at-arms were sent for the special mission.
The security personnel are stationed at strategic areas within and outside the structure, and cars and people entering the premises are subject to tougher security checks.

Tags were issued to select staff members, critical service providers, and journalists to gain access to the premises.
