A chieftain of the Arewa Consultation Forum, Muhammad Yakubu, has expressed disappointment with the handling of the security situation by the President. Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.).

Yakubu, who was a staunch supporter of Buhari, stated this on Channels Television on Thursday.

He said, “Insecurity is not just a problem within the north; it’s across the country now and we have seen some escalation of the challenges and the audacity of these terrorists in carrying out their deadly acts.

“With what happened in Kuje, I expected that the very day the President visited that place, heads should have started rolling right on the spot there, where he expressed his shock, that what happened to the intelligence report and so on.

“The situation demands that, at that point in time, people would have sat up, for this long now, up till now heads have not rolled.”

“One of the reasons why people like us voted for Buhari in 2015 is because he’s retired general and most of us think that this security challenges and even said it that within six months, he’ll get this problem solved,” he said.
