Wike stated this on Monday while speaking on Channels Television breakfast programme, SUNRISE Daily.

Wike whose tenure expires on the 29th of May, 2023, stated this while reacting to a recent statement by the EFCC which revealed that the anti-graft agency will be going after suspected corrupt governors upon the expiration of their tenure.

While responding, Wike stated that he has no plans to leave the country because of the EFCC and that he would honor their invitation if invited.

“I’m not going to run away because of EFCC. Why should they invite me? If they invite me, I will honour their invitation. I will not run away,” Wike said
