A High Court sitting in Bwari, Federal Capital Territory, has granted the factional National Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, Chief Edozie Njoku, bail on self-recognition.
It would be recalled that on the orders of Justice Mohammed Madugu, Edozie and Chukwuemeka Nwoga, the party’s factional National Youth Leader, were remanded at the Suleja Correctional Centre on Monday.
The two are accused of fabricating the Supreme Court’s ruling so they could pose as the National Chairman and National Youth Leader, a charge they have both denied.
While noting that the offenses were bailable, Justice Madugu urged the accused to present a surety who had to be a resident of Abuja and a civil servant with a grade level of 15 or higher or a landowner with a verified Certificate of Occupancy.
