The group disclosed this in a statement issued by its Deputy Director, Kolawole Oluwadare, on Sunday, May 28, 2023.

Speaking through its deputy director, the group that advised the incoming administration of Bola Tinubu to prioritize the rule of law, media freedom, and efforts to curb corruption, advised the government to fulfil all its electoral promises to Nigerians while campaigning during the election period.

“If your election is upheld by the judiciary, your government can use transparency in asset declarations as a means of promoting public accountability and ending systemic corruption in the country,” the group stated.

Asiwaju Tinubu, who won the keenly contested February 25 presidential election, will be inaugurated as the 16th elected president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, on May 29, 2023, by the outgoing president, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (ed.), will be completing his second term, the tenor of 8 years, on Monday.
