The local government chairman and secretary of the party in Aniocha North, Messrs. Matthew Chinye and David Onwuamaeze, had said in a statement on Wednesday, that the suspension was done in violation of the party’s constitution.

According to the party’s chieftains, “the ward executive was wrong, by not communicating the perceived allegations against Madam Onochie to the local government executive, a body statutorily recognized as the adjudicatory body in the first instance, as enshrined in Section 21 of the party’s constitution, but rather shunted the due process by contacting the state executive committee.”

It was further stated that the suspension of Onochie from the party was enforced by impersonators, which violates particular sections of the party’s constitution.

However, it was stated that an investigative/disciplinary committee will be initiated by the local government executive committee to inquire into the allegations and violations of due process, regarding the conduct of the Ward 04 executive committee.
