The European Union Ambassador to Nigeria and the Economic Community of West African States, Samuels Isopi, has congratulated the Adamawa State Assembly Speaker, Hon. Bathiya Wesley, on his election.

Wesley, a physically-challenged lawmaker, emerged speaker of the 8th Assembly of Adamawa State in June.

 

He reportedly won the keenly contested election after consulting critical stakeholders and lobbying his fellow lawmakers.

 

Taking to her Twitter handle to congratulate the lawmaker, Ispoi tweeted, “Congratulations Hon. Bathiya Wesley, on your election as speaker of Adamawa State Assembly. The #EU will continue to support disability inclusion. @EUinNigeria @EU_SDGN”
