The immediate former Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Senator Abdullahi Adamu, has been accused of illegally selling a property belonging to one of his close friends, the late Alhaji Yahya Sabo.

Disclosing in Lafia, the capital state of Nasarawa, Mohammed Sabo, who is the first son of the late Sabo, told newsmen that the property is presently occupied by the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria, Nasarawa service station.

According to the first son of the late Alhaji Sabo, who was the Chairman of the defunct National Party of Nigeria, Plateau State Chapter, the house has been allegedly donated to the agency by the Nasarawa State Government.

Sabo further explained that the property was temporarily used as a party office by the Peoples Democratic Party in the state before Senator Adamu became the first executive governor of the state in 1999.

Sabo who accused Adamu of selling illegal selling property to the state government, without the consent of the family, before the expiration of his tenure, said all the efforts to retrieve the property, by the family, have been proven abortive.

“The former governor, Abdullahi Adamu pleaded with our late father to assist the state chapter of the PDP with the property to use as their temporary office, and he gladly obliged because Adamu was very close to him.

“For several years now, since our father died, we have been pleading with Abdullahi Adamu to hand over our father’s property to us but he has not shown any serious commitment to our family.

“We want everyone to be aware of what has been happening. If we do not get our property back as soon as possible, we will have no choice but to seal up the place which is currently being used as the FRCN North Central Zonal Office in Lafia,” Sabo said.

The son of the late politician however appealed to the State Governor, Abdullahi Sule, and other well-meaning citizens of the state to prevail on the former former Nasarawa state governor to release their late father’s property in the interest of peace, equity and justice.
