The retreat at the Presidential Villa where the appointees will be introduced and required to sign a vow to remain dedicated to the President’s “renewed hope” programme will take place soon; however, no official date has been announced as of Friday.

During his presidency, former president Muhammadu Buhari also organised getaways for his cabinet members.

According to The PUNCH, a villa source said, “There will be a ministerial retreat at the villa for the new ministers. I don’t know when yet but it will be after they are sworn in.”

This week, the presidency revealed the portfolios of the newly-appointed ministers and noted that they will be sworn in on August 21, 2023, while their documentation will begin today.

The exercise is anticipated to conclude on Sunday, August 20.
