Fire razes Kogi Assembly complex

The Kogi State House of Assembly complex Chambers and Gallery in Lokoja, North-Central Nigeria, has been completely destroyed by fire.

According to an eyewitness, smoke was spotted on the roof of the Assembly Complex, around 7 a.m. on Monday.

Another eyewitness, the fire started on Sunday night, but no Assembly members were notified.

Salau Ozigi, State Director of Fire Service, said that the cause of the fire cannot be determined right away but investigations into the incident have begun.
