Ganduje presents N245.3b 2023 budget

The Governor of Kano state, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje on Friday presented N245.3b proposed 2023 Appropriation bill to the Kano state House of Assembly.

According to Independent, the bill which is tagged ‘Budget for Consolidation and Prosperity II’, is over N49b above 2022 budget, and it’s to be funded through statutory allocation, grants , loans and IGR.

Recall, that in 2021, Ganduje presented over One Hundred and Ninety Six Billion Naira (N196b) to the Kano State House of Assembly, for the 2022 fiscal year.

The 2023 proposed appropriation bill has N144.6b as capital expenditure representing 59 percent of the total budget size, while the Recurrent expenditure in the proposed bill stood at over N100b, representing 41 percent of the budget size.
