Senator Godswill Akpabio of the All Progressives Congress has been elected president of the 10th assembly.
Akpabio who represents Akwa Ibom North-West Senatorial zone will succeed Ahmad Lawan as the 10th assembly held its voting at the upper chambers on Tuesday.
Premium Politics reports that the 10th assembly will also be inaugurated on Tuesday.
Senator Akpabio was a former governor of Akwa Ibom State, and he served as a minister of the Niger Delta Affairs from 2019 to 2022.
