The Independent National Electoral Commission, has declared Hon Francis Nwifuru, candidate of the All Progressives Congress, winner of the 2023 governorship election in Ebonyi State.

 

Nwifuru, is the present Speaker of the State House of Assembly.

 

The State House Speaker polled 199,131 votes to defeat Peoples Democratic Party candidate, Mr Ifeanyichukwuma Odii, who scored 80,191 votes.

 

The All Progressives Grand Alliance candidate, Prof Bernard Odo, came third with 52,189 votes.
