Gov Rada unveils committee ahead of Katsina bye-election

Governor Malam Dikko Umaru Radda of Katsina State has unveiled a committee to spearhead the All Progressives Congress Campaign for the upcoming bye-election in the Kankara-Faskari-Sabuwa federal constituency, of the state.

The committee which was made up of influential people in the political circle in the state, was unveiled during the Funtua zonal stakeholders meeting.

The committee headed by the State Deputy Governor, Faruq Lawal Jobe, also has local government representation, such as the state deputy and vice chairmen, council chairmen, and APC chairmen across the eleven local government areas.

Also, among the committee are Senator Muntari Dan Dutse and Barrister Abdullahi Garba Faskari, to serve as deputy chairman and secretary, respectively.

Other members include all APC members from federal and state assemblies, commissioners, special advisers, and party officials from the Funtua zone.

Speaking during the meeting, Governor Radda expressed his appreciation for the stakeholders’ efforts in mobilizing card-carrying members.

The governor further explained the importance of maintaining respect for all party leaders, fostering unity and dedication to the APC’s success.

He however revealed the plans to establish similar committees in each of the state’s thirty-four local government areas, solidifying the party’s grassroots presence.

Also speaking, Deputy Governor Jobe outlined ongoing consultations with Funtua zone stakeholders to strategize for victory in the twenty polling units across Kankara and Faskari.

He further expressed confidence in the ruling party securing a resounding win based on what he described as the party’s strong foundation and Governor Radda’s focus on major concerns like security.

On their part, the APC Chairman in the state, Sani Ahmed Daura and Senator Muntari Dandutse commended Governor Radda’s seven-month administration for delivering tangible benefits to the Katsina people.

The duo however appealed to the party members to conduct their campaign with politeness and respect for the electorate.
