The Governor of Kaduna State, Uba Sani, on Tuesday, in conjunction with a Qatar charity organization, launched the Qatar Sanabil project in the state.

The mass housing project which is for low income earners kicks off operations beginning from today, August 15.

 

The Governor made this known in a statement issued via his X handle and sharing pictures from the ceremony.

 

He wrote, “Governor Uba Sani has arrived the site of the project groundbreaking of the Qatar Sanabil Project (a mass housing project for low income earners). He’s joined by the Qatar Ambassador to Nigeria, H.E Dr. Ali Bin Ghanem Al-Hajri.”

 

The project is located at Chikun Local Government Area, along the new Abuja-Kaduna-Zaria Bypass, close to Millennium city, Kaduna.

 

Within the mass housing project is expected to be a standard healthcare facility to cater for the needs of not just the inhabitants of the housing project but also the residents of the state.

 

Also at the event was the Qatar Ambassador to Nigeria, H.E Dr. Ali Bin Ghanem Al-Hajri, and his team.

 

The name “Qatar Sanabil” is derived from the name of the project investors.

 

Sanabil is a financial investment company located in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and has H.E. Yasir Bin Othman Al-Rumayyan, as its Chairman.

 

According to the profile details on the company’s website, the Qatar charity organization commits approximately $3 billion in capital per annum in private investments that include venture, growth capital and small buyouts.
