Gunmen abduct Ekiti APC chairman Omotosho

The Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress in Ekiti State, Paul Omotosho, has been allegedly kidnapped by suspected gunmen.

Reports revealed that the APC Chieftain was kidnapped along the Agbado-Imesi-Ekiti road, in Gbonyin Local Government Area of the state, on Saturday evening.

 

According to Daily Post, a reliable source, who confirmed the incident stated that Omotosho, was on his way to his hometown when the gunmen ambushed his vehicle with sporadic gunshots, before taking him into the bush.

 

However, the state chapter of the APC has also confirmed that the incident happened during the trip to his hometown on Saturday, July 8, 2023.

 

Confirming the development, the state Publicity Secretary of the APC, Segun Dipe, told Daily Post that the Chairman has truly been kidnapped.

 

”Yes, our chairman has been kidnapped this evening, and we are already working with security agencies towards securing his release,” he stated.

However, he stated that efforts have been put in place by the party, to collaborate with security agencies, to ensure his quick release.
