Dr Yusuf Datti Ahmed, the running mate to the Labour Party’s presidential candidate, Peter Obi, has told Nigerians how to “sell” their votes to desperate politicians.

Speaking in a Facebook post on Friday, Ahmed advised Nigerians against selling their vote for monetary exchange during the 2023 general elections.

However, Obi’s running mate advised that if politicians are desperate to buy their votes, they should sell for 10 million naira and not 5 thousand naira.

He said, “In 2023, do not sell your votes for monetary exchange.

“If anyone should convince you to see your vote, tell them to pay you the exact amount PDP and APC delegates collected.

“Maybe, they’ll pay you #10m for your vote. At least, it’ll be useful to you. Why sell your vote for 5000, are you different from the so-called party delegates?

“You are the highest delegate recognised by law because through your votes, you’ll choose someone to represent you for 4 years.

“Remember, the Election is once every four years. If you fail to get it right, you’ll spend 4 good years paying the price. Be obidient and yusuful come 2023.”
