According to the businessman cum politician, he left the PDP because it was built on politics of vote-buying that does not align with his principles.

He said, “I walked away from the Kaduna governorship race because God has created me as someone who will not buy delegates’ votes, and I made it categorically clear that I was not in search of a job, I was there to correct a very bad situation.

“When it became apparent that it was necessary to buy votes, I said no, I can’t do these, it’s not me. I withdrew from the race and I told them I was going to continue to be a party faithful supporter.”

“Nobody who buys delegates’ votes will do anything good for the country. and I didn’t do that, I didn’t fit into PDP and I walked away,” he concluded.

Premium Politics had reported that vote-buying allegations marred the presidential primaries of the PDP and the ruling All Progressives Congress.
