The Presidential candidate of the Labour Party in the just concluded 2023 presidential elections,Peter Obi has stated that he still believes in the judiciary.

Obi made the remark during a Twitter Space conversation with Nigerians on Twitter.

“I still believe in the judiciary,”he said on the space that has almost 30K people listening.

Peter Obi is currently in court stating that he won the 2023 presidential elections, and contesting the victory of the president-elect, Bola Tinubu.

Obi strong optimism on the judiciary stems from his victories in the court during his days as the governor of Anambra State. He has reiterated his strong belief in the judiciary to do the right thing and declare him the president-elect.

The Supreme Court of Nigeria has never overturned a presidential election, though legal challenges are common, including by outgoing President Muhammadu Buhari, who unsuccessfully fought multiple election losses for months in vain.

Barring any decision to the contrary from the courts, Tinubu will be sworn in on May 29 as successor to Buhari who has been in power since 2015.
