The much-spoken about 2023 general elections is already at the corner with just 13 days to go.
As the day draws nearer and campaigns come to and end, it is necessary for electorates to be aware of their respective polling units, starting time and closing time for the elections, as well as, how to conduct the voting in the most proper way.
The February 25 polls had been scheduled for the presidential and national assembly elections, while, the March 11 polls have been slated for the governorship and state house of assembly elections.
The Independent National Electoral Commission have therefore, released the most appropriate voting process to guide electorates as to how to effectively carry out their electoral franchise come February 25 and March 11 polls:
INEC has assigned the start time for the election to be 8:30am.
Electorates are to present their PVCs for accreditation using BVAS.
Electorates are to check and be sure their names are on the register for voters in that Polling Unit.
Voters are to get authenticated with the BVAS through finger-print or facials.
A ballot paper would be issued to electorates once accredited.
Electorates would go to the voting cubicle to make their choice in secret and drop marked ballot paper in the ballot box.
Once done, voters can leave or stay 300 meters away from the voting area to witness vote sorting & counting.
