INEC reviews 2023 elections with local observers, CSOs

The Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission, Prof. Mahmood Yakubu, and the National Commissioners are presently in a meeting with accredited local election observer groups and civil society organisations at the INEC headquarters in Abuja.

Since the 2023 general elections have concluded, this is the first time the electoral umpire has publicly met with representatives from CSOs and local election observer groups.

In addition to discussing the impending off-season governorship Elections in Imo, Kogi, and Bayelsa states, the meeting will also analyse the 2023 general elections with the CSOs and observer organisations.

The INEC has spent the past two weeks communicating with key stakeholders who have an impact on the 2023 general elections in some capacity.
