The Independent National Electoral Commission has announced that supplementary elections will hold on April 15, 2023, in relevant states.

 

This was disclosed in a statement released by the Mahmood Yakubu-led electoral body on Monday, March 27.

 

Premium Politics reported that the governorship and legislative elections were declared inconclusive in some states and legislative districts such as Adamawa, Kebbi among others.

 

However, after a meeting on Monday, the elector body announced a new date which the supplementary elections will hold.

 

The short statement read, “Arising from its meeting held today, the Independent National Electoral Commission has decided that all outstanding Governorship, National and State Assembly supplementary elections will take place on Saturday 15th April 2023.”
