Kano gov-elect vows to distance family from governance

Kano State Governor-elect, Abba Kabir Yusuf has vowed never to involve his family in the running of his government.

Yusuf said this after receiving his Certificate of Return in Kano State.

He reiterate that he took the oath of office alone without family and they would not in anyway interfere in his governance.

In his words, “there is no way I will allow my family be involved in my government because the Oath of Office I took, I did it alone without them, meaning they are not part of the government.”

According to Daily Post, the Governor-elect, who emerged from the New Nigeria Peoples Party, promised the residents of Kano that he will pay total attention to the state and submit his time to the upliftment of the standard of living of the people.

He said he would also focus on boosting water production as well as education in the state.

He stressed that there would be total overhauling of governance in Kano State.
