Kano lawmaker makes APC return days after defecting to NNPP

Oyo APC inaugurates presidential, gov campaign council

Days after defecting to the New Nigeria People Party, the member representing the Bagwai/Shanono Constituency in the Kano State House of Assembly, Ali Isah, has returned to the ruling All Progressive Congress.

Mr. Isah’s surprise u-turn was confirmed by that assembly’s spokesperson, Uba Abdullahi.

Premium Times quoted Abdullahi as saying that Mr Isah deactivated his membership of the NNPP and rejoined the APC as seen in a letter he sent to the House dated May 17.

According to the statement, Mr Isah pledged to work round the clock for the success of the party at the forthcoming polls.

However, the publication added that the lawmaker returned to the APC after he failed to secure a return ticket from the NNPP.
