The Kogi State Police Command, has claimed that the explosion which rocked the administrative office of Okehi Local Government Area of the state was caused by election saboteurs.

PUNCH METRO reported that there was an explosion in the state on Monday evening.

While confirming the incident,the State Security Adviser, Commander Jerry Omadara, stated that the explosion was caused by individuals who wants to prevent the peaceful conduct of the general elections.

According to reports, unidentified gunmen stormed the secretariat on Monday around 5 p.m. and detonated the explosion that destroyed the secretariat’s administrative block.

Also the state Police Public Relations Officer, SP William Aya claimed that officers had been sent to the area to determine the extent of the damage.

He claimed that sufficient security officers had been sent to the area, and that since then, things have returned to normal.
