This was disclosed by the Minister of Works, David Umahi, during his official working visits to the FG’s completed and ongoing projects in Lagos State, on Tuesday, August 29, 2023.

The ongoing road reconstruction on the ever-busy highway, which started many years ago, has caused agony to the road users around the axis, due to untold traffic jams, caused by the project.

The project which was first awarded to a Nigerian construction company ‘Bi-Courtney,’ during the regime of former President Olusegun Obasanjo, was abandoned for years, before it was rewarded to Julius Berger and SCC construction company, during the administration of former President Goodluck Jonathan.

However, the project was stopped and reevaluated, when the immediate former President, Muhammadu Buhari, came into power, in 2015.

Meanwhile, the FG had consistently given different dates of completion of the project, until Buhari’s tenure ended.

Details coming…..
