According to Daily Post, this was disclosed by the Director General, Office of Education Quality Assurance, Abiola Seriki-Ayeni, through a press statement on Tuesday.

The decision was in accordance with the revised harmonised calendar that Commissioner for Education, Folashade Adefisayo had approved.

The break will start on Friday, February 24, according to Abiola Seriki-Ayeni, and it will be applicable to all public and private institutions in the state.

“This compliance is mandatory for all schools below tertiary level, while emergency preparedness and safety precautions should be in place,” he said

While school begins on March 6 and the holiday ends on March 3, respectively, boarding school students are expected to return on March 5.

For the most recent information, the message recommended parents and educators to check official social media accounts.
