The president-elect, Bola Tinubu, has extended a hand of fellowship to members of the opposition following his victory at the just concluded presidential election.
He stated this while speaking at the presentation of the certificate of return by the Independent National Electoral Commission in Abuja on Wednesday.
While calling on members of the opposition and Nigerians at large, he said, “My doors are opened, I ask you to come in so that we can start the task of rebuilding Nigeria together.”
The presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress was declared the winner of the Saturday, February 25 poll, garnering 8,794,726 votes to defeat his closest rival, Atiku Abubakar of the PDP, who scored 6,984,520.
He becomes the 16 democratically elected president of Nigeria and would be sworn in alongside his running mate, Senator Kashim Shettima on the 29th of May, 2023.
