Akeem Adeyemi, son of the Late Oyo Monarch, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi, has been reelected as a House of Representative member for a third time in Oyo State. his constituency for the third time.

The All Progressives Congress member who has been at NASS since 2015 represents the Atiba/Afijio/Oyo East/ Oyo West federal constituency.

Hakeem, who also contested and won the seat in 2019, was declared winner of this year’s national assembly election in the constituency, after defeating his major contenders from the Peoples Democratic Party, Mudashiru Kamil Akinlabi and Ogunniyi Akinyemi Olaoluwa of the Social Democratic Party.

According to the result declared by the Independent National Electoral Commission, Akeem polled a total score of 34, 822, Akinlabi of PDP polled a score of 31, 671, while the candidate of the SDP, polled a score of 1,951votes, in the Saturday election..

However, Akeem will be Honourable, representing the constituency at the Federal House of assembly, for the next four years.
