The Peoples Democratic Party has called for a halt of the ongoing election results announcement by the Independent National Electoral Commission.

The party made this call through its national publicity secretary, Debo Ologunagba, in a statement issued on Monday evening, titled, “PDP To INEC: Halt Announcement Of Manipulated Results Now, Electoral Commission Pushing Nigerians To The Wall”

According to the party, the results of the presidential election released so far by the INEC are incorrect, stating that the PDP presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, has garnered more votes than his All Progressive Congress counterpart, Bola Tinubu, going by the results at the disposal of the party.

The party insisted that the electoral ACT was created to be obeyed.

Thus far, according to the results announced by INEC at the National Collation Centre in Abuja, the APC have won three states, namely Ekiti, Ondo, Kwara, while PDP have won only Osun state.

On the various state collation centre levels, the APC are also gaining more momentum than its PDP, Labour Party and New Nigeria Peoples Party counterparts, which constitute the four major parties in the race for the presidential election.
