The candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has won 10 of the 13 local government areas in Rivers State, as being collated by the Independent National Electoral Commission for the last Saturday’s presidential election in the state.

As it has been collated by the INEC, the 13 local governments won so far, by the APC is; Ikwerre, LGA, where the former Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, come from.

The Collation Officer for Ikwerre LGA, Prof. James Kpolovie, revealed this while presenting the result of election in the state, to the state collation officer, Prof Charles Adias at the INEC office in Port Harcourt on Monday.

According to the collated results, APC polled a total of 9,609 votes, to defeat the Labour Party and the Peoples Democratic Party which polled 8,752 and 4,869 to come second and third respectively.

However, other local governments won by the rulling party are; Opobo/Nkoro, Asari-Toru, Abua-Odual, Bonny, Omuma, Gokana, Emuoha, Eleme, Tai, Akuku-Toru local government areas in the state.

Meanwhile, Bonny, Ahoada West and Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni local government areas, were won by the Labour Party.

The following local government areas, were however won by the PDP, as well; Andoni, Okrika and Ogu/Bolo respectfully.

The Rivers State Collation Officer for INEC, Prof Dias has announced a recess, pending the results from the remaining LGA’s, arrive.

However, Governor Wike’s Obio/Akpor local government’s result, was not ready at the time, the recess was announced.
