Edo State is poised for a new chapter in governance as Governor Godwin Obaseki prepares to swear in members of the Edo State Executive Council on Tuesday, June 13, 2023.
This significant event marks the formal induction of capable individuals who will join the Governor in driving the state toward progress and development.
The distinguished individuals set to be inaugurated as members of the EXCO include Ethan Osaze Uzamere, Christopher Osaretin Nehikhare, Monday Osaigbovo, Dr. Joan Osa-Oviawe, Isoken Omo, Stephen Ehikhioya Idehenre, Oluwole Osaze-Uzzi, Patrick Uanseru, Samuel Alli (Dr.), Adaze Aguele-Kalu, Kingsley Uwagbale, Uyi Oduwa Malaka, Joshua Omokhodion, Ojiefoh Enaholo Donatus, and Christabel Omo Ekwu.
These individuals underwent a thorough vetting process by the Edo State House of Assembly, which granted them clearance after the Governor submitted their names for consideration and confirmation.
In a statement released by the Secretary to the Edo State Government, Osarodion Ogie Esq., the swearing-in ceremony is set to take place at 11 am in the Festival Hall, Government House, Benin City.
He said, “I have been directed to inform you that the swearing-in Ceremony of members of the Edo State Executive Council is scheduled as follows: Date, 13 June 2023; Time-11 am; Venue-Festival Hall, Government House.
“You are expected to be seated with your spouse by 10:45 am.”
Governor Obaseki, along with his new EXCO members, will take their oaths of office, signifying their commitment to public service and the betterment of Edo State.
