The presidential candidate for the All Progressives Congress, Bola Tinubu, congratulated the outgoing governor of Osun State, Gboyega Oyetola,on his victory at the Osun State Election Petition Tribunal.
The Punch reported that in Osogbo, on Friday, a three-person panel presided over by Justice Tetsea Kume determined that Oyetola had been legitimately elected and invalidated Ademola Adeleke’s victory on the grounds of excessive voting.
Tinubu congratulated Oyetola and called the decision a “triumph of courage, perseverance, and light over the forces of darkness that sought to arrest the progressive good governance the APC administration delivered to the people of Osun state under the leadership of Oyetola” in a message signed by his media assistant, Tunde Rahman.
“I wholeheartedly congratulate Alhaji Adegboyega Oyetola for winning the election tribunal today. It represents the triumph of light over evil. victory over electoral fraud and democratic perversion brought about by tenacity, bravery, and justice.
“Under your leadership, our people’s quality of life significantly improved. However, the forces of evil planned to put an end to your capable leadership and progressive good government. However, the Tribunal served justice today and restored the authority that was willingly granted to you and our outstanding party.
“I am sure that the wonderful work you promoted that was temporarily put on hold will pick up shortly, and the Osun people will once more be content.
And by working together, we can restore their faith in a common future.
