According to the News Agency of Nigeria, Agbomah expressed this joy while addressing newsmen in his office at Boji-Boji Owa in Ika North East Local Government Area of the state.

He said, “Delta State has experienced tremendous progress in terms of human capital and infrastructural development.”

He added that the state remained one of the most peaceful in the country as a result of the ingenuity of its past and present leaders.

“Since the inception of the state, all our leaders have been doing the needful to ensure that the state is united and peaceful because they knew what restiveness and communal crises cost us as a people before the creation of the state,” he said.

He noted that the state had become an investment hub because of the existing peaceful atmosphere in the state.

“We have also been able to nuture our politics to near maturity as a state. The just concluded elections and development in all the localities have proven the level of our political awareness,” he stated.

While congratulating the Governor of the state, Rt. Hon. Sherrif Oborevwori, and Deltans on the celebration of the creation of the state from the defunct Bendel State, 32 years ago, Agbomah enjoined stakeholders in the state to use their respective positions to sustain the existing peace in the state.
