The President-elect, Bola Ahmed Tinubu has cast his vote, alongside his wife, Remi Tinubu, at ward 3 unit 85 Alausa Ikeja, Lagos.

Tinubu shared photos of him voting on his verified Instagram page shortly after the exercise.

He wrote, “I just joined other Nigerians in exercising my civic duty in the ongoing governorship and state assembly elections. I encourage you all to go out and vote peacefully.

Recall that, Tinubu, who had also casted his vote at the same PU on February 25 for the presidential election, did so amidst controversies, as men of the Department of State Services were reported to have stormed the location ahead of his presence.

While Tinubu won at his PU, it is worthy of note that, he lost at several others within the same ward, and eventually the state at large to Peter Obi of the Labour Party.
