The President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari had on Tuesday, commissioned the much anticipated new Nigerian Customs Service Cooperate office in Maitama District, Abuja.

Reports revealed that the twelve stories high-rise building, with five floors wings on both sides, is fully automated in line with modern customs services.

According to the Chairman Organising Committee, and Deputy Comptroller General of Customs, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi, the N19.6B project was conceived in 2002.

He stated that staff would be moved to the facility in phases, noting that the commission has developed a plan, to relocate its officers to the newly commissioned facility.
