The Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, and his deputy, Obafemi Hamzat, on Thursday received their Certificate of Return by the Independent National Electoral Commission.
This development is coming after Sanwo-Olu of the All Progressive Congresswas emerged winner of the March 18 governorship election in the state.
Sanwo-Olu polled a total of 762,134 votes to defeat his closest rival, Gbadebo Rhodes-Viviour of the Labour Party, who polled 312,329 votes and Olajide Adediran aka. Jandor of the People’s Democratic Party who polled 62,449 votes.
The governor and his deputy were accompanied by their wives to INEC’s office in the state to receive the Certificate of Return to see them in office for another four years, beginning from May 29.
