The Governor of Katsina State, Dikko Umar Radda, on Monday, received the Senate Committee on Customs.

The team which was led by the Chairman of the Committee, Senator Francis Fadahunsi, was received at Katsina State Government House, Katsina.

 

Disclosing this in a statement via his X handle, the Governor shared pictures from the visit.

 

According to the Governor, the Senate committee visited to investigate the activities of Customs Officers alongside Katsina Jibia Road.

 

The statement read, “Earlier today, I received the Senate Committee on Customs led by the Chairman of the Committee, Senator Francis Fadahunsi, at the Katsina State Government House, Katsina. The committee was in Katsina to investigate the activities of Customs Officers alongside Katsina Jibia Road.

 

“I assured the Committee of my coordination as they conduct their oversight functions and pleaded to them to amicably resolve the acrimonious relationship between the business community and Nigeria Customs Service to harmonize their economic partnerships in the name of peace.”
