Today, Saturday, February 25, is the D-Day, as Nigerians troop out in their numbers to choose their next president and senatorial leaders.

Already in Kogi state, officials are assembled at the Ajayi Crowther Central polling unit to receive electoral materials for elections in Lokoja, the state capital.

No fewer than 4,241 contenders are slugging it out at the polls for the only 470 federal elective offices on the ballot.

Expectations are sky high as the 2023 elections holds the record of the highest number of registered voters since 1999.

With many describing the historic presidential poll as a three-horse race, the consensus is that this is Nigeria’s most competitive to date.
